November Favourites

Favourites

As November has come and gone, I said goodbye to my uni finals and hello to the holidays. It was quite a stressful month so between the studying, work and the exams I didn’t have too many opportunities to wear much makeup. Nonetheless, I still do have a few favourites which I really think are worth sharing.

Nars Audacious Lipsticks – I wont say too much about these as I will be posting a full review and swatches of them up very soon. However if you aren’t yet aware of these lipsticks, sometime around the end of October NARS released a full new line of lip products called the Audacious Lipsticks. Although more expensive then NARS’s original lipstick line, these come packaged in a very sleek, matte black, magnetic casing and as a complete sucker for nice packaging, I just knew I had to have them. Besides my no makeup days, I don’t think I have even worn any other lipstick this month.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hr Pin Up Girl Blush Palette – This beautiful palette has to be one of the best steals of the holidays. At $26USD for a single amazonian clay blush, this palette provides you with 5 gorgeous shades for only $42USD. I have written more in depth about this palette in my previous post so I will link that here but I wore it almost exclusively on my cheeks during November.

Soap and Glory “One Heck of a Blot” Translucent Powder – If you may or may not remember, I was gifted this powder by the lovely Jess from Making It Up in my UK Box Swap. Since then I have been using it almost every day and loving it. It is so finely milled that although you’ve applied powder to your face it doesn’t look overly matte but still keeps the oil at bay which is especially important for me as we go into the summer months with even hotter temperatures.

Wella Professional Enrich Moisturising Leave in Balm – Early in November I started a new job as a retailer at a hair salon and as a result discovered this little beauty. As I was previously never that interested in hair care, the mids to ends of my hair were left damaged and dry as a result of bleaching from my previous balayage. However, after having used this product for a majority of the month, I can most definitely tell a difference. My hair becomes smoother and so much shinier. This product is meant to be used on damp hair and blow dried in so after I wash my hair, I will towel dry it and then put through my mids to ends.

Wella Professional Luxe Oil Reconstructive Elixir – As the name suggests, this product is a reconstructive oil for your hair. This oil is unlike your Moroccan oils or Argan oils as it contains keratin which is important for building up the proteins in your hair strands, therefore making it stronger and less prone to breakages. It is however, still super moisturising and leave your hair feel soft and shiny. I use this product along with the moisturising leave in balm on freshly washed damp hair and take one to two pumps, work it through my mids to ends and then blow dry it in.

Lorac Mega Pro Palette – At the beginning of November, I received this highly coveted palette in the mail. After having played with it throughout the month, I can honestly say that the formulation of the Lorac eyeshadow are some of the best that I have ever used. This palette in particular has everything I needed with the perfect mixture of matte and shimmers, with some more colourful for when I was feeling adventurous. If you would like to see a more in depth review with swatches, I will link it here.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner Pen – I have rediscovered a old makeup love of mine this month in the form of winged liner. When I first really got into makeup about 2-3 years ago, I wore winged liner at almost every opportunity however, over past few years I got lazy. But after having tried out this liner pen, it has sparked a rekindled desire in me to wear winged liner which has been a welcomed inclusion to my makeup routine this month. For a drugstore liner I was super impressed, the nib on the pen is super thin at the tip so it allows you to get a thin precise line when needed but also gives you the control to work your way up to a thicker liner. The formula is also really opaque and does not move or smudge during the day.

White Collar – One of my miscellaneous favourites this month features this amazing TV show that I actually only discovered a week ago but I had to include it as I have already watched the first two seasons in less than a week. I absolutely cannot get enough of it. Beside the obviously good looks of the main character played by Matt Bower (google him, you wont regret it) this show creates an interesting but mysterious story line that forces you think whilst watching. It also features a bromance similar to that of Harvey and Mike from Suits which I am always a total sucker for.

Taylor-Swift-1989-Deluxe-Edition-Target-1500x1500

Taylor Swift 1989 – After having purchased this album at the beginning of the month, me along with probably a large majority of the world have been absolutely obsessed. When I say obsessed, I mean obsessed. I have not listened to any other album besides this one, this month. I listen to it in the shower, I listen to it in my car, I listen to it when I’m working out, heck I’m listening to it right now. The sound of this album is unlike any of her other songs as she has dropped the country/pop style to go completely pop and I am LOVING it. Some of my favourite songs from the album are Blank Space, How You Get the Girl, Clean, Style and This Love but honestly, every song is perfection and you probably need this album in your life.

What have you been loving for the month of November?
